Jucu. Dacă cineva din afara judeţului Cluj, chiar şi din judeţ, ştie ce-i cu comuna aceasta, probabil că primul gând s-ar îndrepta spre celebra companie de telefonie mobilă, Nokia. Dar comuna Jucu are o istorie mult mai relevantă. Aici, de exemplu, a funcţionat prima şcoală sătească din Transilvania. Iar de celebra sa crescătorie de cai, cu exemplare de rasă, campioni mondiali, probabil că nu mai ştie aproape nimeni. Dar ne mai aminteşte câte ceva istoricul clujean Vladimir Alexandru Bogosavlievici.

Prima şcoală sătească din Ardeal

„Ceea ce trebuie să amintim, e că la reşedinţa lor, în Jucu nobil, aşa-numit, a funcţionat prima şcoală sătească din Transilvania, amintită în 1332. Această familie aristocratică a avut proprietăţi în toată zona.

De exemplu, unde este astăzi Muzeul de Istorie a Transilvaniei din Cluj a avut o casă, fosta casă Petricevici.

Herghelia cu campioni mondiali

„Aici vom aminti şi de activitatea unei firme puternice, compania Nokia, care în 2007-2008 şi-a deschis la Jucu o fabrică aici şi, după câţiva ani de activitate, din motive economice, s-a mutat în altă parte.

Despre herghelia din această localitate. este foarte interesant faptul că ea este înfiinţată în anul 1902, dar caii se creşteau aici înainte şi familiile aristocratice se ocupau de acest lucru. Această herghelia a dat iniţial cabalinele ofiţerilor armatei austro-ungare. Ulterior, aceste cabaline de rasă au ajuns, unele dintre ele, campioane, unele, unii armăsari, chiar campioni mondiali.

În perioada comunistă, herghelia a fost declarată parte componentă a patrimoniului naţional, având peste 400 de exemplare. Din păcate, după 1989, herghelia a decăzut, numărul cabalinelor a scăzut.

Este bine să amintim aici şi o familie, care, patru generaţii, s-a ocupat de creşterea cailor, mulţi cai campioni, familia Nagy”, mai arată istoricul clujean.

But the historian from Cluj, Vladimir Alexandru Bogosavlievici, will offer more interesting details to us.

„Etymologically, the name of the Jucu commune, in Slavic language, means <<lice>>, according to philologists and historians.

The village is mentioned in the 13th and 14th centuries as the property of a famous aristocratic family, the Suky family, of German origin”, the historian says.

The first village school in Ardeal

„What we must remember is that, at their residence, in the so-called noble Jucu, the first village school in Transylvania was located, having been mentioned in 1332. However, the aristocratic family had properties all over the area. For example, the former Petrievici house was located where the actual Museum of Transylvanian History in Cluj is now.

It is also worth remembering that, inside the castle, which originally belonged to the Teleki family – the Suky family died in the 18th century – Count Teleki also had a mansion. Another aristocratic family, Kemeny, eventually gave this property to a follower, Lazăr Pal, in 2002.

The school and the kindergarten functioned here until 2015”, Vladimir Alexandru Bogosavlievici mentions.

The herd of horses with world champions

„Here we will also mention the activity of a famous company, Nokia, which in 2007-2008 opened a factory in Jucu and, after a few years of activity, for economic reasons, moved somewhere else.

Regarding the herd of horses, it is very interesting that it was founded in 1902, taking into account that the horses had been raised there before the aristocratic families took care of it. Initially, the horses were given to the officers of the Austro-Hungarian army. Later, some of those race horses became champions, even world champions, and others became stallions.

During the communist period, the herd of horses was declared part of the national patrimony, with over 400 horses. Unfortunately, after 1989, it has fallen and the number of horses decreased.

It is good to mention here the Nagy family, who took care of many champion horses, for four generations”, he adds.
